Bussing

The bus sign-up form will open July, 28 2025 and close August, 4 2025. Between these dates, please complete the bus sign up form once for each student who will need bussing. (ex: if you have two students, fill out the form twice). You will be prompted in this form to confirm the date that you formally registered your enrollment with DLS for SY25-26.

Arrival and Dismissal

Please review arrival and dismissal practice in advance of coming to school. Also, please have patience the first week as students learn the process and where to go.

Whiteman Campus: Arrival, Dismissal, and Traffic Flow Instructions and Map will be posted shortly.

PikMyKid

  • Parents must communicate dismissal changes through the PikMyKid app.

  • Parents must make sure PikMyKid is accurate every day.

  • Parents must communicate dismissal plans with their child(ren).

  • PikMyKid is the final say about a child’s daily dismissal plan.

  • Any emergency changes for same-day dismissal, after 12:00 pm on that day, should be communicated directly via phone to my child’s campus (K-4 Whiteman, 5-8 Gilpin).

Carpooling 2025 - 2026

DLS provides a platform where parents can communicate with each other about carpool needs. Click here for a link to sign up to be added to this platform. All survey responses must be verified by DLS staff to confirm that they are indeed DLS families. Once verified, you will be sent a private link to view a map showing where other families live and what carpool needs they have and can offer.

Light Rail & RTD

The 30th & Downing Light Rail Station is a very short walk from the Gilpin campus (0.2 miles, estimated walk time 2 minutes).
