After School Enrichment

Enrichments Mission

After-School Enrichments Provide

  • Opportunities for students to develop new skills

  • A service to DLS Families by providing quality enrichment after-school programs

Enrichments Schedule for the 25-26 School Year:

Families have three opportunities to participate in Enrichments throughout the school year which correlate with our trimesters. Registration occurs in August, October and January and is run through a lottery system.

  • Fall Session: September 8 - November 14, 2025

  • Winter Session: December 1 - February 27, 2026

Community members with an outstanding balance in MySchoolBucks are expected to attend to this balance before signing up for after-school enrichments. This balance includes transportation costs, previous after-school clubs, and previous Dolphin Study Hall. An updated balance for your household can be found at www.myschoolbucks.com.

Dolphin Study Hall

DLS Dolphin Study Hall Mission

Denver Language School provides a study hall option after school to our K-8 students: Dolphin Study Hall. This DLS program provides a safe and supervised environment for families needing additional time for pick-up. It offers students the opportunity to complete homework, listen to read alouds or engage in independent reading/study in a supportive setting while prioritizing their safety and well-being.

Dolphin Study Hall Provides:

  • A safe space for students to work on their homework, listen to read alouds or independent reading/study

  • Opportunities for students to develop interpersonal skills

  • A service to DLS Families by providing an extended program to allow for later pick-up times

To assign your student to Dolphin Study Hall, families will need to delegate them in PikMyKid by selecting a calendar date, selecting “After School” then selecting “Dolphin Study Hall.” If your student will attend regularly, you can make either of these options as their default pick-up mode in your settings.

The first two weeks of school, Dolphin Study Hall will be drop-in only. The deadline to sign up for September’s monthly rate is the first Monday of September and registration can be completed in MySchoolBucks. For all following months, the deadline to sign up is the first of the month. Families who choose the drop-in option will be invoiced at the beginning of the following month. Parents must delegate their student to Dolphin Study Hall in PikMyKid on the days their student attends.

Pricing

The drop-in rate is $9.50 per child per day. The monthly rate is charged at $6.50/instructional day. For students who qualify for financial assistance, the rate is $5.00 per student per instructional day. To inquire about financial assistance, please contact Financialaid@denverlanguageshool.org. Dolphin Study Hall correlates with our late pick up policy which you can read here.

Whiteman Sports and Rec Program

We are excited to introduce the Whiteman Sports & Rec Program which will aim to build community through play, sports, and games. There will be two main programs offered: Saturday Rec Adventures for K-4 students and an Intramural Sports Program for 3rd-4th graders. The Saturday Rec Adventures will allow families to sign their children up for single-session weekend events focused on movement and play, led by Whiteman Physical Education teacher, Ms. Ashley.

The Intramural Sports Program will offer three seasonal sports: flag football, basketball, and volleyball, where students learn the game, practice skills, and compete in a final game attended by families. Space is limited, with sign-ups on a first come first served basis, and scholarships are available for families in need.  More information will come for the Saturday Rec Adventures.  Registration for Flag Football will begin Monday, August 11th and information will be sent to families via email and in the school newsletter.  For more details on this program follow this link: Whiteman Sports & Rec Program.
