DLS Annual Fund

1. DLS operates like a small school district, which means we have more expenses. As a DPS charter, we have great partnerships with the district but do not receive services like a traditional school does. 

2. Colorado is near the bottom of the list when it comes to school funding. There is a $500 gap per student based on what we receive in per pupil funding and what it costs to provide each student with the early total immersion education model.

3. Your annual fund donation contributes to DLS’ single most important fundraising effort.

4. Your Annual Fund donation: 

• supports the school’s operating budget, which includes safe & reliable transportation, from busing to field trips,  student services, professional development, and other day-to-day operational costs.
• funds Staff Appreciation efforts. 
• funds community building activities.
• is 100% tax deductible.

Ways to Support the DLS Annual Fund

•  Join us for our gala on November 7th! Purchase tickets now.

• Direct Donation – A one-time gift of $500 covers the gap for one student.

• Set up a monthly donation by selecting "recurring donation". A monthly donation provides a steady stream of funding, allowing us to plan and execute long-term projects effectively. Make a difference all year long! Just $42/month ($1.37 a day!) closes the gap over time.

• King Soopers Card – Sign up for a free King Soopers card and every time you shop, a portion goes directly to our school at no cost to you!

• Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program.
