School Safety

At Denver Language School the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Within the first 30 days of school, all schools conduct practice drills to prepare students, staff and families for a variety of situations, ensuring everyone knows how to respond quickly, calmly and effectively.

According to the U.S. Department of Education, schools that conduct multiple emergency drills per year have faster, more coordinated responses during actual incidents—cutting reaction time by up to 30%.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) research shows that students who practice safety drills are twice as likely to follow correct procedures in a real emergency.

Repeated practice reduces confusion and panic, helping students and staff respond with confidence under stress. Practicing together also strengthens trust between staff and students, creating a calmer environment during emergencies.
