PikMyKid

For safety and convenience, DLS uses Pikmykid (PMK) for dismissal. For more information download the Parent Handout here. For instructions on how to use PMK, and to report an absence, please click here.

  • Parents must communicate dismissal changes through the PikMyKid app.

  • Parents must make sure PikMyKid is accurate every day.

  • Parents must communicate dismissal plans with my child(ren).

  • PikMyKid is the final say about a child’s daily dismissal plan.

  • Any emergency changes for same-day dismissal, after 12:00 pm on that day, should be communicated directly via phone to my child’s campus (K-4 Whiteman, 5-8 Gilpin).

Parents agree to the PikMyKid policy during registration each year. For more information download PMK Policy here.

Updates/Changes to the PikMyKid Procedure for 2019-20

  • All dismissal changes must be made before NOON each day.

  • Car Tags will not be used this year - every family must use the app or memorize their child’s PikMyKid ID for pickup.

  • PikMyKid will be used to report student absences.

Download the parent user guide here.

Late Pick-Up Policy

Late pick-up is when a parent picks up a child more than 15 minutes after the end of school. Please see the chart below to understand pick-up times at each campus each day.

If your child is not scheduled for an after-school activity, and you are not at the pick-up location by the time Late Pickup begins, your student will be taken to

Dolphin Splash* (Whiteman) or Dolphin Hall* (Gilpin) until you arrive. You will be charged the drop-in fee of $8 per child per day for these services. Families that qualify for Financial Aid will be charged $2 per child per day for these services.

For more details, please view the Late Pickup Policy here.

Carpooling 2019-2020

DLS provides a platform where parents can communicate with each other about carpool needs. Click here for a link to sign up to be added to this platform. All survey responses must be verified by DLS staff to confirm that they are indeed DLS families. Once verified, you will be sent a private link to view a map showing where other families live and what carpool needs they have and can offer.

For questions, or to remove your information from the carpool map, please email Caleb@denverlanguageschool.org.
