My name is Miguel Sanchez, and I am the 4th Grade Spanish Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at DLS this year. This will be my first year teaching at the school and in the United States, so I am very excited to work in DLS and to help develop students’ Spanish skills.
I am from Spain and came to work in a programme called “Visitant Teachers”. Getting here was not easy, because there are lots of teachers in Spain who want to come to work to the United States. I had a lot of paperwork and several interviews, but I am very excited and proud to be here.
I graduated from Complutense University of Madrid in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree
in Music and from Autonoma University of Madrid with a Bachelor’s Degree in English as Foreign Language. I have 5 years of teaching experience at all levels of Kindergarten and Primary education from 3 to 12 years old. Last summer I also took part in the Teaching Board of Examiners, evaluating and selecting other English teachers.
When I am not at school, I love to go swimming, play football, watch sports and spend time with friends.
I generally use email as my primary source of communication throughout the week, so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
